Sarah is our Centre Manager and has worked closely with Jason for nearly 5 years so is knowledgeable in all areas of training and is able to advise owners on the systems that we use. Sarah is a highly qualified Trainer and Rider having obtained a University HND in Equine Management and Training and is also BHS/NVQ Certified which covers everything from nutrition to coaching and has also attended saddle fitting courses as well as Equine massage. Sarah possesses a great deal of practical experience having always worked with young and problem horses and taught all levels of rider she is able to produce horses and riders for various competitions. Sarah has had great success on her own and clients horses in affiliated and unaffiliated Dressage, Show-Jumping, Cross-Country, Showing, endurance and has even competed in carriage driving!
Favourite Horse: I couldn’t choose a favourite between Bubble and Aqua, my two horses!
Horse I’d Like to Own: Stroller, the ‘pony’ showjumper who beat all the horses!
Interests: I tend to ride in my time outside of work and spend time with my family and friends but they’d disagree saying it’s all horses, horses, horses!
Motto: Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for success.
Tom is from Suffolk and has been involved in horses all his life. Growing up through the Pony Club and competing in all disciplines, he went on to work for the Suffolk Hunt and top eventing yards, where he bought on young horses and competed in affiliated events. He also retains very close links with the racing industry, with his family involved in Newmarket life! Tom is studying towards his coaching certificates at level 4 standard and has been with us for nearly two years and thanks to his hard work and Jason’s coaching is a fantastic Trainer. Tom works alongside Jason every day, with most of the horses that come through the centre benefiting from Toms expertise at some point during their stay. Tom is well loved by the staff and popular with the clients and we hope to have him with us for a long time to come!
Favourite Horse: Probably Poppy, who I got off the track and retrainined
Horse I’d Like to Own: Any decent racehorse!
Interests: Chess, maths, reading the Financial Times… only joking.
Motto: Don’t listen to Scott on a night out!
Bryony came to us having worked for Linda Jewell’s Racing Stables for 3 years and previously for Sasha Pemble Internatial Eventer and brings with her a wealth of experience in horse care and fitness preparation. Bryony works closely with Sarah to ensure all the horses care needs are met and that clients recieve a warm welcome when visiting the centre.
Favourite Horse: Megan my moody mare!
Horse I’d Like to Own: Black Caviar
Interests: Riding, hot chocolate, running, eating cakes and socialising!
Motto: “Tom why have you left that there!”
Sarah has come to us to complete her level III Diploma and gain more hands on experience with young and problem horses. Sarah previously worked for Maria Green at her Show-jumping yard and has gained excellent experience of caring for fit competition horses which she brings to her role at the Centre. Sarah has a real love for horses and is often seen fussing over the resident horses and giving the babies makeovers during their daily grooming time.
Bogdan is originally from Poland where his family still reside. Since coming to the UK he has worked in the racing industry in Newmarket and a range of showjumping yards and equestrian centres. Bogdan has always been around horses as his family owned a stud in Poland breeding competition horses and this shows in the way he handles the horses on the yard.
Wendy is our Retail Manager and looks after the sales of Jason’s specialist training equipment as well as setting up accounts with major equestrian suppliers. Wendy has a lifetime of horse riding experience having show jumped in her younger years and now owning a young Arab who she recently won a Le Trec competition on! Wendy accompanies Jason on demos, talk evenings and takes our Trade Stand to large venues such as Hickstead.
Favourite Horse: Black Beauty!

Interests: Family, DIY, dogs & horses
Motto: Let’s have a cup of tea…
Amelia came to us having worked for the Hop Farm with heavy horses, where her daily duties involved riding Shires!! Amelia is currently studying towards a Honors Degree in Equine Management at Hadlow College and is aiming to work with the mounted police once she finishes. Amelia has proved to be a real asset always bathing and grooming the training horses. Amelia is often seen cleaning out the rug room and labelling everything …she keeps us all organised!

Interests: I really enjoy cross-country!

Steph has been around horses all her life and when she is not working she can generally be found ferrying her children and their ponies to Pony Club and around the local shows. Steph brings a lot of experience with her and is a lifesaving when it comes to providing emergency cover on the yard at very short notice!
Penny grew up on Risebridge Farm and has ridden all her life, representing the UK in polocrosse. She gained an Honours Degree in Sports Science and Geography at Loughborough University and pursued a career in sports marketing with Octagon Marketing in London before going to Australia to try and persuade Jason to come and live in England! After qualifying as a teacher, Penny now teaches PE part-time at Marlborough House School whilst bringing up Jack and Rosie! She also helps Jason out with the office and marketing side of the business.
Favourite Horse: Little Miss Muffett, a little superstar
Horse I’d Like to Own: I would love to own a brilliant racehorse, but in Muffett, I have already owned my horse of a lifetime!
Interests: My children first and foremost! Then playing sport, friends & family and have a good party!
Motto: The race is long but ultimately its only against yourself
Richard and Lindie Hillier rent the farmland and facilities to us and are an incredibly important part of the set-up. They have put in a lot of time and effort into helping us make the facilities top class and are always ready to lend a hand.

We regularly have Work Experience pupils to the yard from local equestrian colleges such as Hadlow College and local schools. Before we accept pupils, we ensure they are experienced to handle the horses and give them regular instruction. They have all been a pleasure to have!
Dodger is getting on a bit now, but still revels in his favourite activity of horse-watching. He is one of our most useful ‘desensitising’ tools and all the horses go home ‘dog-proof’!
Aiming to follow in Dodger’s footsteps little Louie can be found following him around or snuggled up fast asleep in the office!!
